Regaining Focus

PAINTING ABOVE by Edouard-Leon Cortes

Within the last few days, I've been itching to get back to painting finally and wanting to get outside. I actually was going to do some painting yesterday but I went on a long bike ride in the middle of the day and the heat drained me of all energy. I've been clearing up my work load so that I can direct my focus on my painting and my own work.

I've started to look at my inspiration folder on my computer again, which has many images from a bunch of different artists that I enjoy. Really makes me want to paint soon. I realized that I haven't been inspired this summer and have been more stressed than anything else and as a result I haven't been much of an inspiration for anyone else. So I'm looking to change this and get back to where I used to be. I recently quit a job and have cleared my to-do list - now to fill it up with painting and videos.

Just wanted to write a quick update about what is going on with me and what I'm working on and hoping to do. I've been slowly working on my book that I'm writing, going to be a little while before it is close to being done. I recently created an FAQ section on my website for people to check out before sending me an email with a duplicate question. Also, I recently did a demonstration video for creating a stormy sky and ocean scene in 2 parts on my YouTube channel, check that out here:

This next weekend I'll be in Ashland, OR - on a short vacation for some relaxation. After that, I'll be putting 100% back into my painting, plein air, YouTube channel and facebook. Anyways, stay tuned for more and thank you for all the support, messages, emails and comments. I appreciate it more than you know :) Take care.
