Over the past year, I’ve spent countless days outside painting from life. These pieces were created in quiet moments along the lake, early mornings among the trees, cold afternoons by the water, and small towns I passed through along the way.

Each one reflects a specific moment I didn’t want to forget.

This collection includes a small number of curated sets and many individual paintings. Every piece is one of a kind and almost all were painted on location, with the exception of a few paintings from my studio using photos from past trips and experiences.

Once a painting finds a home, it’s gone.

Thank you for taking the time to look through these. I hope you find something that speaks to you.

All watercolor paintings come unframed and are 7.5” x 11” in size.

Collector’s Set 1: Changing Times

These two studies were painted during two very different visits to the same tree. One full of leaves and color of the summer heat, while the other was during the early months of winter with no leaves.

Together they show how a single place can change while still feeling familiar. These are a small reminder of how time moves, and how the same subject carries different moods over time.

Collector’s Set 2: Quiet Places

Both pieces were painted on the same overcast day by the lake. Days like these were rare. The soft light made everything feel more quiet and moody.

It actually began to rain a little as I was painting one of these, but luckily the rain stopped as quickly as it started. These paintings are about simplicity and slowing down enough to notice the calm moments nature gives us.

Collector’s Set 3: Morning Light

Morning light has a peaceful kind of clarity. These two pieces were painted in the morning, catching the bright light reflecting off the lake. Such an incredible sight to see.

These paintings are about appreciating the beauty nature gives us every day. It was always a calming experience to paint in the morning light by the lake.

Trees and Forests

Most of my paintings begin with trees. They’ve always felt like quiet teachers. These pieces were painted on different days in different places, but they share the same feeling of stillness and rootedness.

Below is the collection of tree studies, forest scenes, and moments of light filtered through canopy.

Rocks and Water

Rocks, shorelines, and moving water have a rhythm of their own. These paintings come from days spent near lakes, creeks, and ocean edges, trying to capture the structure and movement in front of me.

Each one is a small study of form, light, and texture.

Landscapes and Places

These are scenes from the places I’ve passed through: mountain views, quiet roads, and small towns. Some were quick studies, others took more time.

All of them carry the feeling of the place they depict.
