This painting shows a scene from Alaska along the Seward highway, one of the most beautiful drives I’ve ever taken. As I was driving down this highway, there was a place to pull off and stop right next to this lake. So I stopped and took some photos of the mountains, the lake, and surrounding trees and area. These particular grouping of trees caught my eye and I wanted to capture them along with the surrounding elements of the mountains and lake. This painting is proof to me that even cloudy or overcast scenes can be full of beauty.
